After posting my memories about rollerskating yesterday, it was driving me nuts that I couldn't remember what the skating rink was called, so I did a bit of searching, but still no luck on the name ~ most likely the rink is long gone ~ along with the era. I did find some really cool skating stickers though ~ here are a few of my favorites.
If the stickers are true to what they show, then looks like my mom was right ~ rollerskating rinks were a good place to meet men when my mom was a young girl. When I was a teen, they had lost the elegant luster ~ too bad there aren't many, if any of the vintage rinks around anymore! Exciting, fun & wholesome ~ just like the stickers say!
