Antique Shop ~ Parrin & Co.

If you're passing through the 45th & Stateline area in Kansas City, make sure to stop in and take a look at Parrin & Co ~ a lovely little store packed with all sorts of beautiful temptations. I dropped by several weeks ago and admired the Christmas displays ~ old religious statues(the crispier, the better) and miniature paintings, a shell encrusted cross, and anatomical fragments amidst an unusual selection of sacred heart ornaments displayed on tinsel trees. Below are a few shots from my visit.

{love these sacred heart ornaments}

{These vintage Christmas balls look so beautiful in a wire basket}

{not sure what this is, does it matter?!}

Lovely photos. Too bad Kansas city isn't around the corner, though with your help we are able to visit this great shop, thanks for that! Of course beauty is all that matters ;-), but if you insist on using your last object; it's a barometer ( a predictor of the wheather based on air pressure). Have a great weekend!

These photos are stunning. I adore the santos hands and the lovely sacred hearts. I hope to find one of the religious hearts sometime in my travels ... Have a lovely New Years!

WOW! I LOVE that peice of metal above the sacred hearts. Is it just an ornament? It's so beautiful. Thanks for sharing your trek to the city. Lots of inspiration for the future.

It's been awhile since I took those photos, but if I remember correctly, the metal piece above the sacred hearts in the bowl is actually a sacred heart ornament - just a more intricate version of those below. I think these are also new items, not antiques - they were very nicely made! Thanks for visiting and commenting!
